Barrandov Residence
A family apartment on Barrandov, taken from the study through documentation and the build to the day the last cushion went in. The brief was calm: a home that reads as one material family from the entrance to the last bedroom, with nothing left over.

Project note / 01
The whole interior is drawn around three materials. Calacatta marble carries the wet rooms and the kitchen, dark oak carries the joinery, and everything else is off-white, so a room changes by what it is made of rather than by what colour it has been painted.
The bay window is the piece the plan was rearranged for: a fluted banquette curved to the wall, a round table and the garden on three sides. It is the seat everyone takes and the reason the dining room sits where it does.
Project note / 02
Brass is the only warm note, and it is used sparingly: taps, shower fittings, the handles on the oak. In the living room a marble fireplace and a pair of sheepskin chairs finish the room without raising their voice.
